Dental decay is a common problem that occurs when acids in your mouth dissolve the outer layers of your teeth, producing cavities that require filling.

We no longer use traditional silver (amalgam) fillings in this practice because they are made from a mixture of mercury and other heavy metals. Instead, we recommend tooth-colored fillings which are made from a metal-free composite.

If you require a filling your dentist will remove any decay and restore the tooth with a white tooth-colored filling. We can also safely replace your existing silver amalgam fillings with new white tooth-colored fillings.
